MyriaModem is a family of wireless sensor network products and services. The main ingredient is the inexpensive MyriaModem electronics board. Together with the MyriaModem firmware it is possible to quickly deploy very large MyriaNed networks.
MyriaNed is a light weight, low power network protocol with two very special properties: ad hoc deployment and very high scalability. MyriaNed has been tested in configurations of thousands of nodes. MyriaNed does not need a master or routing tables to function: just power the nodes with neighbors in reach and the network is active.
MyriaNed™ has been in development since 2006 by the Devlab
initiative: a combination of companies like Van Mierlo Ingenieursbureau, Chess, Salland, Almende, Vitelec and others.
